Shopee recently announced several enhancements to the seller portal's product management interface. These improvements aim to streamline the user experience, empower merchants with better decision-making tools, and ultimately drive revenue growth. The rollout is currently in a phased release, available to select sellers at this time.
The search functionality now includes two additional filters: 'Category' and 'Key Focus Product'. The category filter allows merchants to narrow down products by category or subcategory for more precise results. The Key Focus Product filter helps identify items that are top sellers, have growth potential, or represent new opportunities.
Under the Key Focus Product filter, the 'Top Sales' view highlights best-performing items as well as those experiencing declining sales. The 'Growing Potential' view pinpoints products with high traffic but low conversion rates, or conversely, high conversion but low traffic. While the default sorting is based on Shopee's recommendations, merchants can also choose to sort by most recently listed items.
A new quick-filter feature has also been introduced, offering three one-click options: 'Bidding Eligible', 'Low Stock', and 'Top Sales'. Only one of these filters can be active at a time. Items with limited inventory will display a 'Low' badge beneath the stock quantity. Merchants can set custom stock alerts by clicking the inventory number and selecting 'Set Low Stock Alert'. For products with multiple variants, stock levels can be configured individually or uniformly across all variants using the 'Batch Setting' option.
For promotion management, prices of items currently in or about to enter a promotion will appear underlined. Hovering over the price reveals detailed information such as promotion type, discounted price, and campaign duration.
On the data analysis front, a new 'Performance' column displays sales and exposure metrics. Sellers can view total sales volume, last 30-day sales, and impressions for each product. By clicking the chart icon, they can access a 30-day trend analysis comparing the most recent period with the previous 30 days to spot performance shifts.
For items with multiple variations, overall 30-day metrics are available, though individual variants show only total sales numbers. Shopee notes that more comprehensive performance analytics can be found in the Business Insights module under Product Performance.
The Smart Diagnosis section introduces five performance badges to help assess product status. 'Opportunity New Product' indicates items that could gain from targeted promotion to attract new customers. 'Top Sales' marks well-performing products where maintaining rank and visibility is advised. 'Top Sales but Downward Trend' flags items with a 50% sales drop over the past 30 days. 'High Conversion but Low Traffic' identifies products with below-average traffic, while 'High Traffic Low Conversion' points to items with below-average conversion rates. These visual indicators assist merchants in crafting more focused marketing strategies.
Smart Diagnosis also presents actionable optimization tasks to boost exposure and sales. These tasks fall into four categories: 'Content Quality', which flags areas needing improvement on product pages; 'Risky Stock', which warns of low inventory; 'Invest in Ads', which highlights advertising opportunities; and 'Price Bidding Eligible', which suggests keyword bidding for better ad placement. Merchants can hover over any task and click 'Check Details' for specific recommendations. Completed tasks are logged in the 'L30D Optimization Record' section.
Shopee stated that these enhancements are designed to provide clearer data visualization and smarter analytical tools, enabling merchants to manage inventory more efficiently, refine promotional tactics, and ultimately improve overall sales performance.
